Current Opening
The Visitor Centre, toilets, Riverside Cafe, Stables Art Gallery and Shop are closed until further notice
Butterflies House & Plant Centre and Jambs Owls Experience are both currently closed. Plant sales are available online at www.bexleybutterflyhouse.co.uk
Gardens open 9am-4pm.
The formal gardens to the North of the River Cray will be temporary closed from Thursday 14th January 2021. The formal lawns at Hall Place have recently experienced an increase in visitor numbers. This, along with the recent wet weather, has caused substantial damage to the ground and a health and safety risk to our visitors. We will re-open the formal gardens at the earliest opportunity
Access to the south parkland will be made available via the main stone gate. Please follow signs on site which allow for a circular path to ensure maximum social distancing on the route to and from the parkland via the Weir bridge. The gardens will close at 4pm

We’ve made some changes – what you need to know
National Lockdown: Stay At Home, Protect the NHS, Save Lives
- In light of the Governments latest rulings, Hall Place is in lockdown. The East Gardens from the Stone Arch Gate to the Weir Bridge by the Visitor Centre and all inside spaces are now closed. Please use the Green Gates by Miller & Carter restaurant to enter and exit the gardens only.
- The Visitor Centre, toilets, Riverside Cafe, Stables Gallery and Shop, Bexley Butterfly House & Plant Centre and Jambs Owls Experience are all closed
- Signs will be in place so that visitors can move through the gardens safely.
- Please respect others – not observing social distancing can make others anxious, so please continue to keep everyone safe by distancing and abide by the governments stricter National Lockdown rules.
- Please take your rubbish home with you
- Please do not use the gardens as a toilet, as our gardeners have to clean it up!
