The Royal Society of British Artists was founded on May 23rd 1823 and after the Royal Academy is the second oldest society. Many artists have been members of both including Whistler, Sickert and Lowry and honorary artists such as Monet and Giorgio de Chirico also exhibited.
This exhibition reflects the current membership, (from Cornwall to Scotland) consists of painters, sculptors and printmakers. Their work ranges from figurative to abstract in a multitude of materials and their subject matter is equally diverse reflecting each artist’s exploration of the world around them in the 21st century.
Access to this exhibition is included when you purchase an entrance ticket to the historic house. No food or drink in the house please.
