Get into the festive mood with our twilight openings for a special view of the house after dark as all the lights shimmer and sparkle. Enjoy the beautiful historic surroundings and yuletide cheer as Hall Place is decked with boughs of holly, garlands, colourful decorations, and trees as tall as the ceilings. Listen to traditional Christmas music as you explore. This year’s theme is The Twelve Days of Christmas, with displays incorporated amongst the room decorations for you to discover. Families can also take part in our Christmas Quest where an additional 12 themed tree decorations have been hidden inside the exhibition spaces.
End your visit with a free glass of mulled wine or soft drink around the Christmas Tree on the lawn.
Bring along your family for some feelgood festive cheer and make some new memories soaking up the atmosphere of Hall Place this Christmas. Experience the house at its twinkling best.
Location: Located in the historic house and outside on the East lawn. Access through the large green gates to the house from the car park, to the right of the Miller & Carter restaurant.
Who would like this: Anyone who loves Christmas and getting in the festive spirit. Special opportunity to see the historic house after dark, decorated for Christmas and twinkling lights abound. Suitable for adults, as well as families. All children must be accompanied by an adult at all times. A Christmas Quest trail is available inside the house for children.
What to bring: There will be some elements of the event outside on hard standing and grass, so please bring a coat, umbrella and suitable shoes. We ask please that face masks are worn inside the historic house.
Covid safe info: Please remember to follow all current government advice regarding hands, face, space. We ask please that everyone wears a mask when inside the historic house. Hand sanitiser will be available. These measures will help keep everyone safe and healthy. Refreshments will take place on the East lawn outside the historic house. Accessibility & Facilities: Please arrive 5 minutes before the start of your time slot. Time slots are every 30 minutes, the house closes at 8pm. Refreshments will be available at the end of your twilight visit on the East lawn (this may be changed if government advice changes). Toilets are available in the historic house.
