DINO LIVE FAQs
Where will the Dino Live exhibition be held?
The exhibition is being held in our Great Hall and Tudor kitchen in the main historic house
How do I get a ticket?
Tickets will be available for sale on the day of your visit in the main house reception.
Can I buy tickets in advance?
We will be selling Gift vouchers for those wishing to offer this experience as a gift; however your ticket must be validated at reception on arrival. This will not pre book your attendance or fast track your visit.
Please turn up on your chosen day and present your voucher to reception
How will you know I have purchased a ticket?
All visitors will be ‘Dino’ stamped and then asked to head to the exhibition space. Your ticket is only valid on the day of purchase.
Are there a maximum number of visitors at any one time?
Yes, due to health and safety we will need to restrict the numbers in the exhibition at busy times. We will manage this as best we can, but it is inevitable that there will be times busier than others such as weekends. In the event that you do have to wait to access the exhibition, we will keep you as informed as possible and up to date of waiting times when you arrive.
How long will I need?
We would imagine that approx. 30 – 45 minutes would be sufficient in the exhibition space. This will of course vary depending on the visitor and age group.
Please allow for queuing at busy times. We will have a dino shop located near the exhibition and the tearoom will be open in the visitor centre.
What times is the exhibition open?
It will be open:
10 – 5pm Saturday – Wednesday
10 – 6pm Thursday
10 – 8pm on Friday
Last admission will be 30 minutes before the closing time.
Access after 4pm will be via our East Gates off the main car park – please follow the signs
Can I re-enter the exhibition?
Unfortunately not as we need to ensure that everyone gets a chance to see this fabulous exhibition
What will I see?
Dino Live is a series of animatronic dinosaurs. So they will be moving and will have sound effects. Each dinosaur will have an interesting fact panel.
There will also be a dino drawing activity and photographic opportunity. There is also a family activity sheet called ‘Who’s the best’ available to complete as you move around the exhibition.
Is there wheelchair and buggy access?
Yes. The exhibition and access is all on one level. However we will be setting up a buggy park as this could aid the free movement around the exhibition.
Will I be able to take photographs whilst in the exhibition?
Of course – it’s all part of the fun. Please share these on our Facebook and Twitter pages, we would love to see them. There is also the opportunity to photograph your child/adult in or by a giant dino egg.
What age is the exhibition suitable for?
The exhibition is suitable for all ages, however the moving and roaring dinos may scare some children. You know your child best – please take into consideration any sensitivities they may have.
We recommend if your child is sensitive to noise that you bring ear plugs or ear muffs for your child to wear.
All children must be accompanied by an adult.
Can I bring a drink or snack into the exhibition?
Unfortunately not, no food or drink is allowed in the historic house.
Will the Riverside Tea Room be open on the late night openings?
No we are afraid the tearoom will not be open on the late night openings.
