Education at Hall Place

Looking for somewhere different for a school or group visit? Look no further than Hall Place and Gardens!

“...it was the most fabulous visit we’ve had ever!” Arianna, Year 4.

For children, the recently restored Tudor mansion set in extensive landscaped gardens is an ideal location for learning outside the classroom.

As Sandford Award winners, Bexley Heritage Trust offers school children fun, hands-on sessions at the historic house including the Tudors, Victorians, World War II, literacy and environmental studies.

Sessions, which can cost as little as £1.50 per child, can be tailored to suit particular needs, and the Education Team can accommodate all ages and abilities. We can have up to 90 children on site from one school in a day using a rotation timetable planned to suit your requirements. Our minimum numbers are for a group of 15, but should you be a SEN school we will of course be more than happy to take smaller numbers.

Additional resources for schools include Outreach sessions to the local area, free loan boxes, and inset training days.

For adults, our programme of lectures, courses and demonstrations offer opportunities for life long learning at Hall Place. Please see our Events pages for further details.
